Electronic Sports League (ESL) is the largest e-sport league in Europe and is operated in Germany and France by Turtle Entertainment. The ESL Pro Finals has thousands of visitors and 200000 online viewers and a lot of press coverage. jDome is included in their press release as "on-site-action" and in their newsletter, which goes out to 340000 subscribers - in Germany alone.
When I was at GamesCom in Cologne this August, not only did ESL promptly put up a jDome at their main arena, but they also invited jDome to participate at the ESL Pro Finals, both in Cologne and Paris!
In Cologne there was four jDomes setup in a cross configuration and we are running Counterstrike Source and it was jam-packed with people!
In Paris we'll run Left For Dead 2!

i38 was a very successful event in many ways, but mostly sales wise, as many large companies wanted to buy the jDome directly from the exhibition floor!
It was fantastic to play the new COD6: Modern Warfare 2 on the jDome and extra fun to do in the Activision booth!
There was also talk about bringing ten jDomes for full team show matches at future events! Just think of what a spectacular eye catcher it would be!
Many thanks goes to Stewart Fletcher, operations manager at Multiplay, and his team.

The theme in the latest member paper for Engineers in Sweden (no 6) is Driving Spirits, but I like the direct translation of "Eldsjäl", which is "Fire Soul", better, people who are "on fire" about their ideas (Swedish only)!

Q: Will H.A.W.X work with the jdome (http://www.jdome.com )?
A: No plans for this at this time.
This is great! Ubisoft has gotten so many questions about this jDome thing that they needed to include it in their FAQ! And that is for a product which A) not is on the market B) not (officially) has been tested with a flightsim! Fantastic!
Read the entire FAQ, listed at HEXUS.Gaming or just Google jDome and H.A.W.X.
Wouldn't it be cool, though, to get jDome support for H.A.W.X?
Top News - jDome® goes E3 - the worlds most important computer game show![2009-May-15]
Thanks to the Innovation & Technology nomination, jDome got invited to go to E3, which is held in Los Angeles the 2nd to 4th of June.
E3 is renowned to be one of the largest and most important Computer Game Exhibitions in the world. The last few years, E3 has been held back to a media event only, but now it is back in full force with an estimated 50000 visitors or so.
A better way to introduce the jDome to the US, I cannot think of, and it has been a goal I've set to attend E3 within a year from the jDome launch. Since I launched the jDome at May 9th last year, I consider this goal met!
jDome is brought over there by Nordic Games, who also have rented an entire hotel (the Figueroa) within walking distance from the exhibition, where they will have a full blown exhibition and special showcases for over 400 key persons in the gaming industry.
jDome will be in the US from the 2nd to the 7th of June. If your company wants an extra showcasing and try out the jDome for yourself the weekend after E3 - book us now!

jDome is to appear in a Swedish version of the highly acclaimed British television series Dragons' Den (Draknästet)!
In the Dragons' Den inventors meet five investors ("Dragons") from whom they can get funding for their projects, or get eaten alive (verbally of course :-) for their, perhaps not so good, ideas.
Will the jDome Project get money from the "Dragons"? Only one way to find out!
Series starts at 23rd of April on Swedish National Public Television (channel one, SVT 1).

The monthly magazine Din Teknik has a four page article about the jDome in issue no 9! They tried the jDome in John's basement and the author of the article says: "To stand in front of the jDome is like taking a step into the game. The digital walls and ceiling surrounds your view totally and the surround sound adds to the feel of a world in three dimensions. This is an experience very different from what I usually experience in front of my ordinary 19 inch screen."

The first jDome prototype has been sold! It is Dreamhack—the world's largest computer festival—who is buying a jDome for 45000 SEK—approximately 4,500 Euro (The final consumer price is estimated to be approximately 150 Euro). By purchasing a prototype of jDome, Dreamhack will be able to let their visitors play games in an entirely new way already the fall of 2008.
The jDome is a half-spherical rear projection system which immerses the gamer inside the game world. Combining the jDome with off-the-shelf hardware and software, the jDome gives a low cost Omnimax-like gaming experience.
From the 11:th to 14:th of September Dreamhack will be exhibiting at Nordstan in Gothenburg, Sweden, and visitors will have the opportunity to try out the jDome innovation, which has received a lot of attention in news media, Youtube and the blogosphere, both national and international. During Dreamhack Winter the jDome will be present, both through the exhibiting jDome team and through Dreamhack, for visitors who want to try the experience of being totally immersed by their favorite games.
-We think this is a very cool way of playing computer games, and Dreamhack finds it very interesting to have its own jDome. It is of course very fun to buy the first one in the world! We will exhibit it at all our events, says Robert Ohlén, CEO Dreamhack.
- This is the proof of something we always felt since the start 4 months ago; that the idea is so good that the customer market is interested and will buy. Even though the jDome mainly is targeted towards home consumers, the jDome is of course very suitable in other situations as well, such as events like Dreamhack and gaming arenas, says John Nilsson, the inventor of jDome.
